What defines each series
UCP200 and UCP300 are both pillow block (Plummer block) bearing units that combine a UC insert bearing with a cast P-housing. The number after "UCP" refers to the insert bore group.
The main difference is the housing size and strength. UCP300 housings are physically larger and heavier than UCP200 housings for the same bore, which allows higher load ratings.
Size range
UCP200 typically covers shaft bores from about 12 mm to 90 mm (UCP201 to UCP218). UCP300 extends the same bore sizes with a larger housing, often from 25 mm to 140 mm (UCP305 to UCP328).
Because the housing is bigger, UCP300 units need more mounting space. Check the bolt hole spacing (J) and base dimensions before selecting.
Load capacity
For the same bore, a UCP300 unit carries a higher dynamic and static load than a UCP200 unit. Choose UCP300 when the equipment sees heavier loads, shock loading or continuous operation.
UCP200 is usually sufficient for light conveyors, small agricultural machines and general duty where space and weight matter.
Mounting and dimensions
Both series bolt to a flat base, but the bolt hole pitch, base length and height differ. The shaft center height (H) is also different between UCP200 and UCP300 for the same bore.
If you are replacing an existing unit, match the bolt hole positions and shaft height, not just the bore. A dimension drawing is the safest reference.
Typical applications
UCP200: packaging machines, light conveyors, HVAC, small agricultural equipment, general industrial lines.
UCP300: mining and aggregate conveyors, heavy agricultural machinery, steel and wood processing, and other high-load continuous operations.
How to choose
Start from the shaft diameter, then compare the expected load and available mounting space. If load is moderate and space is tight, UCP200 is often the better fit. If load is high or the duty is continuous, choose UCP300.
Send the model number, quantity, application and working environment to the manufacturer for a final confirmation.
UCP200 vs UCP300 at a glance
| Factor | UCP200 | UCP300 |
|---|---|---|
| Housing size | Compact | Larger, heavier |
| Load capacity | Light to medium | Medium to heavy |
| Typical bore | 12-90 mm | 25-140 mm |
| Mounting space | Smaller footprint | Needs more space |
| Common use | Light conveyors, general duty | Heavy conveyors, continuous duty |
Selection checklist
- Shaft diameter.
- Expected radial and axial load.
- Available base and bolt hole space.
- Shaft center height requirement.
- Operating environment and maintenance access.
Ключевые выводы
- UCP200 and UCP300 both pair a UC insert with a P-housing; UCP300 has a larger, stronger housing.
- For the same bore, UCP300 carries higher loads but needs more mounting space.
- Match bolt hole pitch and shaft height when replacing an existing unit.
Frequently Asked Questions
Can I replace a UCP200 with a UCP300?
Not directly. Although the bore can be the same, the housing size, bolt hole pitch and shaft center height are different, so the mounting will not line up.
Which series is stronger?
UCP300 is the stronger series for the same bore because of its larger housing and higher load rating.
Do both use the same UC insert?
They use UC inserts of the same bore group, but the complete unit dimensions differ because of the housing.
